What does comfort mean to me? Comfort for me is a place where I am completely myself, where I feel safe, loved and taken care of. The place where I feel like the most important person in the world, where there’s constant laughter and happiness and my soul is fed.
My mother, grandmom, and my home bring me comfort like no other.

Stories from our Bari | Chapter 1- Boss Women | Medha Khandelwal
Raised in a household of strong independent, witty women, each day came with its share of really fun times as well as fights, and I cherish every moment with all my heart! But one of the memories that always makes its way back to me is of my grand mom, my mother and I, and a night that we can never forget. After having had a hectic day at work, three of us decided to meet at a bar and talk about everything under the sun -- from politics to BTS (by the way, my mother is obsessed with them). As hours flew past with delicious food, wine, and endless leg pulling, my at that time 80 year old grandma announced “I’m sloshed, hold my hand while we walk to the car. I’m swaying!”. That moment left us with belly aching laughter and endless jokes that my mother and I revel in every day. In that moment, we all needed a little of each other to lighten our hearts and comfort our souls. - Medha Khandwelwal, Founder, Charu Desi
